Get started with Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2).
A walk-through to get the glasses on your head and the photos on your phone.
Know your glasses
Five things to find before you start.
- Camera and capture LED on the front corner.
- Capture button on top — press to shoot.
- Touchpad along the right arm — tap or swipe.
- Open-ear speakers in both arms.
- Power switch on the inside of the left arm.
Turn it on. Turn it off.
Swipe the power switch.
- Find the power switch on the inside of the left arm.
- Swipe toward the front to turn on, toward the back to turn off.
- A short tone confirms the glasses are awake.
Take a picture
Press the capture button once.
- Press the capture button on top once.
- A shutter sound confirms the shot.
- The photo saves to the glasses.
Take a video
Press and hold the capture button.
- Press and hold the capture button to start recording.
- Press it again to stop.
- The video saves to the glasses.
Go hands-free
Just say “Hey Meta.”
- Say “Hey Meta, take a photo” to capture without touching the glasses.
- Ask Meta AI about what's in front of you.
- Start a call or a livestream the same hands-free way.
See your photos and videos
Open the Meta AI app.
- Open the Meta AI app on your phone.
- Your captures sync over to browse, open, and share.
Store and charge
Fold them into the case.
- Fold the glasses and set them into the charging case.
- They charge automatically — no cable to the glasses.
- Recharge the case itself over USB-C.
